David Burris – Spring Valley
Richard did another amazing job for us. He is very detailed and thorough in everything he does. The entire process was enjoyable as he informed us of issues he found and corrected. The bathroom looks great, and we know it was done right. Thank you Richard!!
Felicia Harlow – Beavercreek
Richard created a masterpiece in this remodel! He did the dream shower I wanted and provided much needed input on each decision that had to be made. The window and the tile in the shower are just spectacular! He also attended to every little detail to make sure this became my spa sanctuary. Thanks so much Richard! In addition to all your skills in every area needed, you are a true artist!
James Rechtorovic – Beavercreek
The new bathroom was very nice.
Mike Sapp – Beavercreek
DHR responded quickly to get me an estimate. We had heard about one of their tilers that was a perfectionist, Richard. We requested Richard to do ours so had to wait a bit longer till he was available. He was as detail oriented as we expected. I am well pleased with the work that Richard performed. I would definitely work with him again.
Jennifer Nash – Kettering
Excellent! Very happy with the finished job. Richard did the work and he is a perfectionist and takes a lot of pride in his work. Mike was very informative and helpful with the initial quote. Definitely would use their services again.
Linda Deal – Beavercreek
When our contractor arrived little did we know that he was the Picasso of remodeling, Richard’s attention to detail and broad knowledge of all things involving construction was amazing. I cannot say enough good things about Dayton Home Remodeling and of our contractor Richard. We have already made plans for them to transform our utility room at a later date. Thank you for your exceptional work!
Mary Lehman – Centerville
We contracted with Dayton Home Remolding to do our master bathroom project. Richard Peyton from DHR was assigned to our project and from the first day we were confident that he knew what needed to be done. This was a large project in that during the demo several issues were uncovered and Richard was able to find and implement reasonable solutions to which we both agreed. He is a skilled professional craftsman and easy to work with. He also has an eye for design and offered several much-appreciated suggestions to make our new bathroom even more outstanding. The project called for many different skills; demolition, structural changes, plastering, plumbing, electrical, tiling, flooring, and finish carpentry work. All were done by Richard with expert skill and care. We are thrilled with our new beautiful master bathroom. The best part is the beautiful new tiled shower he built which includes a seamless glass shower door. It is gorgeous! DHR and Richard Peyton were easy to work with and delivered above and beyond what was promised. We will certainly use DHR for our next project and highly recommend Richard for your bathroom remodel.
Genevieve Ritchie-Ewing – Kettering
The company came out for an estimate and spent an hour going through all of the particulars, which we appreciated. The estimate was very reasonable. Richard came to work on the bathroom a couple of weeks ago. He did a wonderful job. He is knowledgeable and careful. He made sure everything was done right. While pulling up flooring, he noticed that the floor boards were rotted. Although this required additional cost, we were so happy that he paid attention to every detail. The final result is the half bath of our dreams!
Michael Moore – Centerville
Completely happy! Dayton Home Remodeling was the only company I found able & willing to take on my job after engaging 5+ others. Had a small bathroom needing a total gut; sub-floor, flooring, drywall, tub, vent fan, toilet, etc. Nothing fancy for the workhorse bathroom; basic tub/shower, high toilet, and vinyl plank flooring. I already did 99% of the demo and would be handling the electrical, paint, and a bit of plumbing. Other companies had no interest in drywall, laying flooring, or dealing with a hands-on customer. Mike didn’t hesitate and put together a job to tackle everything for the same price others wanted to do just the tub. Bob was a treat to work with. He was friendly, patient, and trustworthy to leave to work in the house while I was away for most of the project. Good attention to detail and personal investment in the result being excellent. There will be a wait for start-up because they are popular so don’t expect work to start in two weeks. I will be calling them back out for my master bath when the time comes.
Richard Hoffmann – Beavercreek
Dayton Home Remodeling, in particular Richard Peyton who did the work, was fantastic and easy to work with. The company provided a list of suggested suppliers for the tile and custom countertop we wanted. Richard is highly qualified for all aspects of the job, and was meticulous and committed to doing the job in the finest way. He communicated any unforeseen issues immediately, rather than simply ignoring them, and readily accepted our input to resolve the issues. Richard is a pleasure to work with, and a wealth of information. DHR and Richard also were extremely attentive to preventing the spread of COVID-19, using face masks, maintaining social distance, and disinfecting surfaces. Richard takes extreme pride in his work and provided a beautifully remodeled bathroom for us. I highly recommend DHR and Richard Peyton for bathroom remodeling.
Felicia Harlow – Beavercreek
Richard was awesome! He pays such attention to detail and I learned so much in the process of what quality work is. He wanted to make sure I was 100% satisfied even if it meant changing details after he started. My bathroom is absolutely beautiful! I remodeled thinking it would improve resale when I sold and now I don’t want to move!!! I would definitely hire them again (but only if they guarantee I could have Richard do my job again) Thank you!
Christopher Harris – Northridge
DHM did a complete kitchen remodel for me. They weren’t the cheapest, but the quality of work and professionalism was very good. Make sure you understand the scope clearly and what materials you can reasonably expect to receive with regards to allowances, i.e. stone, tile, etc. as these can affect the overall price of the project significantly. Greg and Melanie did a fantastic job on the installation!
Chris Roberts – Vandalia
We love our new utility room and bathroom. Dayton Home Remodeling and Richard, our project worker, did a fantastic job. The utility room remodel has just been completed and the downstairs bathroom remodel is almost done. Richard is a very skilled worker in all the phases of remodeling from electrical and plumbing all the way to the finishing touches. He does very careful work with a keen eye for the details. He was able to handle many problems and issues that popped up with well thought out solutions and a wonderful work ethic and attitude. He really cares about doing a good job that will last a very long time. I was very impressed with his determination to do things the right way and the results show it. I highly recommend Richard and Dayton Home Remodeling for any future projects you may need done. Thank you, Richard and Dayton Home Remodeling!
Bill Hall – Fairborn
Dayton Home Remodeling took our 1970’s kitchen and transformed it into a modern, user friendly, elegant addition to the value of our home. We refer to Greg and Melanie Sigler, our installers, as “the Dream Team”. They have such an eye for detail and made corrections in our outdated kitchen that we are enjoying today. Our project included everything from new dry wall to plumbing, electrical, new cabinets and counter tops and flooring upgrades. The entire DHR team was so helpful and made what could have been a dreaded endeavor into a wonderful experience. With no pressure, they simply made suggestions and the end result is a beautiful kitchen transformed beyond our wildest expectations.
Susan Berg – Kettering
We have a beautiful new bathroom. It turned out to be a more difficult job than expected because of the state of the plumbing and the room being out of square. All the work was done by Richard who has all the necessary skills to complete the job: demolition, plumbing, carpentry, tiling, painting. He has incredible attention to detail and pride in his work. He also is a very neat worker and truly wants his customers to be happy. I definitely recommend this company.
Joel Gearhart – Centerville
Excellent service all around. George did a great job. He was able to skillfully demolish our old spa tub and standing shower. He was also able to move a toilet from one wall to another – which I didn’t know was feasible. George replaced an old wood frame window with a glass block window that looks great. George was able to do it all: plumbing, flooring, drywall painting, ceramic tile, even painting on popcorn ceiling. Brian was able to match our unique 30-year old baseboard both in style and color. Highly recommend!
Brandon Witt – Springboro
This was the second time we used DHR. Richard was assigned to the job and was great. I know it is cliché; however, Richard’s craftsmanship and attention to detail was if it was his own bathroom. Every detail was addressed. The man is an artist and a perfectionist and his end product is a direct reflection. He constantly kept us updated on his progress. It is rare to find someone whose craftsmanship is flawless and care for the customer the same. We are out of bathrooms to remodel, but Richard is the person one would want to work in their home. The only issue is there is only one Richard and the demand for his time is a true testament to the value he brings to his work!
Jim Faucett – Kettering
I contacted Dayton Home Remodeling as I badly needed a TOTAL gutting and remodeling of my old worn out bathroom. My bathroom is very small but had a very large list of problems. Just about everything that could possibly be an issue with this worn out bathroom was just that, simply everything needed to be replaced or fixed. From my first telephone contact with the company they kept in touch, always responsive to my calls and/or questions in a very timely manner. I was continually updated with any concerns or issues that needed addressing. And believe it or not, the job was completed within the time-frame as originally promised. I truly feel as though I hit the lottery once the company assigned Richard to the task of making all my issues go away. This man takes no shortcuts; his work ethic seems to be that there is simply one best/correct way of solving a problem and perhaps many other ways. He always selects the best/correct way even if it is far from the easiest way. Richard constantly gave the impression that this was his personal bathroom and was as particular as you would expect if it were his own. Clearly, he takes pride in every detail of each task presented. Needless to say, I am beyond delighted with the total beautiful and functional bathroom that was created by Richard. Simply put: If you are looking for a problem free solution to your remodeling project I could not recommend Dayton Home Remodeling more highly. And if you manage to really hit the lottery by having Richard assigned to your project, you can most certainly be rest assured that he won’t relax until all is more superior than you ever anticipated. I am a totally Happy Camper!
Linda Languirand – Kettering
Had our master bathroom remodeled. We had the shower, floor and sink replaced. Took awhile to complete but Richard worked on it even while we left on vacation. Looks great!
Mary Combs Beavercreek
My husband and I were both impressed with George and his workmanship and work ethic. George was very meticulous with his work and took pride in a job well done. He asked our input along the way to ensure we were getting what we wanted. The end result was absolutely stunning! We love both bathrooms! We liked that the company commits to working one job at a time and stays on the job until it is completed. Thanks George for your great work! We miss you George!
Linda Languirand – Kettering
We had a tub and tile remodel in a hall bathroom. Richard was very nice and explained the entire process to us every step of the way.
Jessica Johnson – Centerville
Jeremy and Matt did a fantastic job! I had a complete remodel of our master bathroom. We replaced the soaking tub with a large shower. Installed a block window. Replaced all the flooring. Extended the sink which required some plumbing to be moved and all new cabinetry! All the work turned out beautiful. The guys were friendly, took the time everyday to go over what they did that day and what the plan was for the next day. They were also very trustworthy- spend 2 weeks in my home with no issues at all. I would certainly request Matt and Jeremy again for any work in the future!
Dawn Hill – Springboro
I cannot say enough about George and the rest of the team at Dayton Home Remodeling. I consulted Angie’s List a few years ago when we needed our master bathroom redone. The builders had used substandard materials which, after years of use, resulted in water damage through to the floor below. I was nervous about finding a good and trustworthy contractor and Dayton Home Remodeling exceeded my expectations. Especially George. When it was time to do our second bathroom, we specifically requested and waited for George. George and team did an outstanding job again and tolerated the watchful eyes of our two supervising cats. George is experienced, trustworthy, thorough, and knows the best materials to use. We’ll definitely utilize Dayton Home Remodeling and George in the future.
Debra Mcgill – Northridge
Personal, concerned, professional, experienced, workmanship, are only a few words that describe Richard Peyton . A craftsman employed by Dayton Home Remodeling. These words came together to create a custom shower and closet second to none. It was a great experience. Richard is a visionary, artful designer, and possesses many skills. The job is simply beautiful. WOW!
Debbie Harmon – Kettering
I hired Dayton Home Remodeling on the recommendation of a friend who was very pleased with the bathroom remodeling work they had done so I did not get price estimates from other companies. My bathroom required extensive remodeling right down to new drywall and ceiling. I wanted a niche built for my TV/entertainment area in the living room that required ingenuity and creativity. The staff at Dayton Home Remodeling is very knowledgeable regarding latest trends, processes, and materials. Jeremy and Matt were a pleasure to work with. They worked with me on every detail of the remodeling process to ensure the finished results met my expectations. Their complementary skills and knowledge are evidenced in the completed remodel. Dayton Home Remodeling is very helpful and flexible when you have an idea of what you want but not sure how to get there. I couldn’t be more pleased with the final results.
Shirley Miller – Kettering
Richard Peyton from Dayton Home Remodeling did all the work on our bathroom. He answered all our questions and was very informative with each step of the process. He is friendly and went the extra steps to make sure our bathroom looked wonderful. He gave us very good suggestions and arranged the tile in the shower so that it looks like a showcase model. His attention to detail and the preciseness of his cutting skills are impressive. Even more amazing was that he made our counter top himself to fit our existing cabinets which saved us money. We are convinced that there is nothing that Richard can’t do. Dayton Home Remodeling lived up to their excellent reputation!
Don Schreier – Vandalia
It was a long wait which we knew up front from the time we signed up to the time it started but we were in no hurry. Jeremy and Matt who did the work did a great job, seemed to get right to it explained the process along the way to completion. We are very happy with the job; it is finished like we hoped to see. We will definitely use them again if we need to. We recommend them highly.
Gayle Ryan – Kettering
From my initial contact with Dayton Home Remodeling everything went well. The salesperson, Mike, was very informative and did not pressure me at all. He explained that the company was booked for months in advance, but I decided to sign with them. It was WELL worth the wait. My next contact was with the manager, Brian; he is very professional and informative. He addressed all of my questions and concerns. Finally, it was time to begin. I was then introduced to Richard; the fellow that would be rehabbing my one and only bathroom. He is a talented craftsman and his attention to even the smallest detail is unbelievable. He did the demo, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, flooring, tiling, and, finishing work. He explained the work in progress. He always showed respect towards me and my home. He was also very kind to my little dog, Rosie, and that is important, too! I am so pleased. This is the best home renovation of my life. Thank you, Richard, for making my ugly bathroom a beautiful bathroom.
Gary Smith – Kettering
Dayton Home Remodeling replaced my bathtub with a shower stall. Richard did all the work and he provided high quality work. In addition there were a couple problems that had to be resolved and Richard provided good solutions. He also made several suggestions about how the tile should be completed. He suggested adding an accent strip of tile and it really added to the overall look of the stall and bathroom. He also made suggestions about small changes that I could make to the bathroom that would enhance the overall look of the room. I plan to implement several of them. Richard does very good detailed work and is dedicated to quality and his craft. Brian stopped by several times to monitor the progress of the remodeling. Several time he commented to me that Dayton Home Remodeling was dedicated to producing remodeling work that would last 25 to 30 years and I believe him
Sarah Goubeaux – Miamisburg
I had 2 bathrooms remodeled. In the hall bathroom, I had total vanity replacement, painting and replacement of bath/shower faucet. In the master bathroom, I had the tub/shower combo replaced with a tile shower, total vanity replacement, and painting. These bathrooms are small but neither had been changed much in 40 years. In both bathrooms, I kept the tile flooring already in place (so DHR did the remodels without disturbing the floor.) Our remodel went fantastic. Richard did a wonderful, thorough, professional job. Both bathrooms looked brand new when he was done even though neither one of them were “gutted.” We had a few hiccups in the renovation where problems arose, but Richard and DHR handled them all and kept us informed. I cannot say enough how much we trusted Richard to do the job right. We would have no hesitation in recommending him to everyone. The only “con” we had in the renovation was the length of time it took, but as we watched Richard’s craftsmanship, it was well worth it. If we have work done again in the future, we will definitely request Richard.
Jennifer Nash – Kettering
A++ this was the second bathroom Richard did for me and he did another fantastic job. He is very conscientious and has a great eye for details. Would highly recommend him.
Joan Flaherty – Springboro
It went great. Very talented, professionals.
Nigel Morris – Huber Heights
Remodeling the second bathroom and both Richard and Brian are an excellent team to work with. Their attention to detail and quality of craftsmanship is just outstanding. I am glad I reached out to Dayton Home and Remodeling because the company has great people to work with and Richard’s work is simply marvelous.
Kefu Xue – Beavercreek
Mr. and Mrs. Gregory and Melanie Sigler are the best in skills, work ethics, and friendliness. Melanie also has a great sense in color and styles. She made many suggestions to make the kitchen looks great and yet highly functional. They took great care of all the details in every part of remodeling. Make sure to ask Greg and Melanie for your kitchen remodeling needs. They are truly the best.
Nigel Morris – Huber Heights
Richard, he knows a thing or two, because he has done a thing or two. His attention to craftsmanship and details is impeccable.
Jama Stephens – Trotwood
I had a completely wonderful and beautiful experience with the professionals, Brian and Richard. Richard did an outstanding job on my bathroom down to the smallest detail. He treated me and my home with the utmost respect. Richard Peyton is: R=respectful; I=intelligent; C=caring; H=hard working; A=always professional and pleasant; R=real good sense of humor; D=dependable and dang good. My bathroom is gorgeous!!!!!!
Robert Conover – Huber Heights
The price was very good and the services provided were Excellent. The husband/wife team that did the kitchen worked hard and fast, I was fully satisfied. Richard did my two bathrooms; he went above and beyond, was a hard worker, and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend these folks.
Diane Bendel – Kettering
Richard Peyton of Dayton Home Remodeling proves he is a master craftsman! What began as a rather simple update, turned into an amazing bathroom because Richard refused to cover up original construction mistakes found during renovation. The original bath was quite simple and functional. Square 3-wall shower, room for a toilet, counter and cabinet. Original design made everything feel small because, the room IS small. As the project began to take shape, Richard introduced design elements which transformed the bathroom into an amazing space. (see photos). As stated above, Richard is a true craftsman. It isn’t in his character to rush or cut corners. This means the project might take a bit more time, but it is WORTH IT! And, while you begin the relationship as a “valued customer”, Richard’s interaction and personality transitions you to a friend by daily interaction and dialog which keeps you 100% informed with respect to the project; what is finished, what will be done next, updated timelines, etc. Richard is very courteous and respectful of your home. Carpets protected by quality drop cloths, clean worksite, organized tools and supplies. His attention to detail extends beyond the project to the safety and security of your home. Often checking and locking doors when exiting…even when the occupants are at home.
Diane Bendel – Kettering
Mike came out and gave us a thorough, fair estimate on the spot. Brian, our project manager, came out twice to do a walk-thru and gave us ideas on a few adjustments. He was only a phone call away and stopped in frequently to check on the progress. Our project even started six weeks ahead of schedule. Now on to the most important person, Richard Peyton. Richard was our “miracle worker”. He turned our old 1970’s bathroom into a gorgeous, updated bathroom that could be published in magazines. Richard’s craftsmanship and attention to detail were impeccable! He ran into a few issues during the project with the plumbing and flooring, but challenged himself till it was 100% perfect. Richard went above and beyond the call of duty. If we weren’t going to be home till late, he would grab the newspaper and mail and always double checked to make sure the house was locked before he left. Richards’s first priority is ALWAYS the customer. We loved having him around every day to talk with and build a friendship. We’ve already scheduled our next bathroom to be gutted, and we know for sure, Richard will be our main man.
Jack Nadeau – Springboro
Couldn’t be happier with our new Master Bathroom! George was wonderful and we will definitely hire them again. George is very knowledgeable and professional and made sure we were happy. His attention to detail is outstanding! So nice to work with a company that wants to make sure their customer is satisfied.
Richard Steiner – Miamisburg
The contractors did excellent work and finished ahead of schedule. The renovation included enlarging the shower, replacing floor and wall tile, installing a new vanity, and installing new lighting. I have no complaints over any part of their work. The contractor showed up on time each morning, and cleaned up each afternoon.
Joanie Franklin – Centerville
Two bathrooms gutted and rebuilt. Workmanship is outstanding, from the smallest detail. Finished product is beautiful. They look nothing like even the original baths. Richard went above and beyond any expectations.
Ruth Clements – Dayton
Richard loves old houses and it is a good thing that he does since this one presented him with many, many challenges! However, he was more than equal to the task. Richard took on the project with great grace and professionalism. He is truly a master of many, many trades. We so appreciated his thoroughness and artistry in all that he did and we were extremely impressed with his attention to detail. His knowledge and expertise was amazing. Taking on all the problems encountered with an old house is certainly not for the faint of heart but Richard truly turned a ‘pig’s snout into a silk purse.’ In addition, we learned many new ‘how to’s” regarding great products to use and the finer points of reno/remodeling work that we didn’t know before. We would certainly want him to do another project for us and would highly recommend him. He is ‘one in a million’ and was a joy to have in our home. We look forward to working with him again down the road. Highest praise and kudos to Richard for a job ‘well done!’ We LOVE our resurrected 1920’s bathroom!
Karen Pinto – Huber Heights/Dayton
Excellent work! Tony & Pete were great as the installers. Mike & Brian were terrific in their roles as sales & design & crew leader.
Ailsa Herd – Springboro
The work took bit longer than anticipated but we didn’t mind because the quality of the work was exceptional. Richard’s attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile to make everything perfect for us was great. Project manager Brian also made numerous visits throughout the project. Additional changes that we requested and some issues that arose once the demo was done were all handled well and we now feel confident that our dream bathroom will have no problems in the years to come.
Brandon Witt – Springboro
They did a great job. I could tell that they were in high demand due to their backlog as they are highly sought after. Everyone was great during the process. George, the crew leader for the job, was phenomenal. You rarely come across someone who is a master at so many different trades and does everything with such care. Everyone was incredibly respectful of our home and cleaned up after themselves daily. We hardly noticed that they were there. We intend to have them remodel another bathroom and then some in the future.
Dave Yosua – Centerville
Great Job! We are very satisfied with the result and are enjoying a much bigger showering space. Definitely would hire again. A quality custom job at a fair price – easy to work with and trustworthy – appreciated their work.
Larry Smith – Kettering
Very nice! Richard Peyton was the person who did the work on the new bathroom including a shower tiled to a nine foot high ceiling. It turned out that Richard and I are both fans of “This Old House.” As the job I went along, 11-11-16 to 12-7-16, I occasionally would visit with him on the job. It was almost like we were on the set of “This Old House.” He taught me many things that will help me with my own smaller projects. He overcame defects in previous construction such as inside corners that were out of square. He was very skilled in many areas and always very professional.
Lori Deen – Kettering
I would highly recommend Dayton Home Remodeling to anyone. Richard was awesome and a perfectionist which you don’t find very often these days. Everything was done to perfection. We are so happy with our choice and we will use them again.
Anna Zissis – Fairborn
From the start I had a great first impression of the company when I met Mike to go over the project. Everything done was detailed, itemized and priced so we knew upfront what the work and materials would cost. Brian did the walk-through before the project’s start to make sure there were no surprises, made sure what we needed, went over the contract again to verify the work, explained everything that would be done, gave us a time-frame for completion, and let us know that Richard Peyton would be working on our bathroom. Overall, I was impressed with both Mike’s and Brian’s professionalism and attention to detail. I was extremely happy that they gave us Richard Peyton for our project. I can’t say enough good things about his craftsmanship, detail work, and meticulousness. In addition, tarps were laid, debris was swept, booties used – he took care in looking out for our home during this remodeling process and was considerate of our schedule as well. The bathroom looks fabulous and I know everything that isn’t visible is just as well-done as everything that is visible due to Richard’s commitment to his job, exactness in detail work and pride in his work. Miters are perfect and seamless, nail holes filled and invisible, tile is aligned and grouted perfectly, and I could go on and on. Our house wasn’t framed completely square (which I could see for myself with a tape measure) so Richard had to spend time making sure each measurement was exact and how to align and cut materials to account for multiple measurements for tiles, drywall, etc. Based on his work you cannot tell our framing was off – everything fits perfectly and looks even better! Richard is a true craftsman and, based on our experience with this project, I would wholeheartedly recommend him, Brian, Mike and this company. I fully intend to have them redo our guest bath next year! Thank you, Richard, Brian and Mike!
Pat Couch – Springboro
This is the 2nd time that we’ve used Dayton Home Remodeling and both times, George did the work. I cannot say enough good things about George and his great craftsmanship, work ethic, and professionalism. Along the way, he ran into some strange things in our older house and handled them quickly and efficiently. He made great suggestions on ways to do things and they caused everything to really pull together and look wonderful. I trust his judgment and have never been unhappy yet. He shows up on time, he and his crew work hard, and they keep things clean. I would strongly suggest that you turn to Dayton Home Remodeling…I know we will for our next project. Everyone we’ve dealt with is fantastic. Thank you so much!
Ed Yike – Kettering
Brian and his partner were completely helpful and professional and did an excellent job.
T Michael Mowell – Kettering
I met with Mike and decided to contract Dayton Home Remodeling to totally remodel my bathroom. I was unclear at this time what I wanted but knew there were several items that need to be repaired. Mike addressed each item one at a time and worked up a very clear contract with all my repairs listed, as well as, the associated cost. I knew all the items I was to select and purchase and had a much better understanding of the complete job cost and the time required to get it done. After reviewing hundreds of bathroom pictures on the internet I decided to change several items on the original agreement which was done very easy and only required a phone call to create the change order. When Brian came to my home and looked at the bathroom we both had an itemized list to discuss so I got exactly what I wanted. I told Brian that I wanted to stuff you can’t see to be as good as the stuff you can see. I’m sure that is why Richard was assigned to my job. On April 25, 2016 Brian and Richard came to my home and we went over the contract again so we all agreed on all details of the agreement. The work started the next day and I was immediately impressed with care and respect that Richard had for my home and my comfort while this work was being done. Because this is a single bathroom home, Richard replaced the toilet every night before he left. I had a working toilet during the complete job. Each night when I returned from work I was given a detailed progress report and inspected the day’s work. Richard not only listened to my opinion but discussed each step with me so I felt like I was part of the remodel process. My bathroom was taken down to bare walls and cement floor and then totally rebuilt. Instead of repairing damaged walls Richard replaced them, building all new better walls. I watched Richard do plumbing, electric, and carpentry. His work is always to the best of his ability and his first priority is to please the home owner. My bathroom is exactly what I wanted and I’m very glad that Richard did my bathroom.
David Hammond – Beavercreek
Job start was about 2 months later than original date provided when the job estimate and contract was made. However, once started the crew was very punctual and worked on our job every day (except weekends) until completed. The job was completed in the planned 3 weeks as scheduled. The work crew, lead by George Rager along with Todd, Dave, and Jim did excellent work from teardown to completion. The designer Mike Mergler and Brian Harrison also provided excellent service and coordination of the work. We are very happy with our new shower, bathroom and closets.
Eileen Zech – Miamisburg
Richard was our contractor and did an excellent job. He was meticulous in his work and the completed project looks fantastic. The timeline from start to finish was longer than what I had anticipated but the work was completed exceedingly well and worth the extra time. I would use this company again and request Richard to complete the work in my home. Very well done.
Adrian Perez – Beavercreek
Everything went extremely well repaired water damage we had and remodeled our bathroom. They were very thorough and explained everything step by step. Will be using them again.
Michael Self – Beavercreek
We chose Dayton Home Remodeling because of their fair price and willingness to work with us to complete some of the work ourselves. Their workmanship is unbelievable and we were more than pleased with the outcome. The custom shower was beyond my expectation and the main bathroom was absolutely beautiful!! They always arrived on time each day, were courteous, and at the end of the day provided an update on where they were in the project and what was going to happen next. They were careful in cleaning up each day and took steps to protect furnishings while working. George Rager was always available to answer questions or address concerns. I felt confident in his work and leadership on the project. If we have another project in the future, Dayton Home Remodeling would be the contractor we call.
Mark Smith – Centerville
Our experience with Dayton Home Remodeling was excellent from start to finish. Highly professional, punctual, and took extra care to clean up after themselves each day before they left. Quality of work is outstanding, and price was very competitive. Our job foreman, George Rager, was truly a professional and was just delightful to work with. We will definitely use this company again for future remodeling needs and hope that we get George for our job if we do.
Ronaele Carpenter – Centerville/Lebanon
The bathroom is for my husband who is handicapped. DHR was very sensitive to his needs, and made sure that he was able to use the bathroom at the end of every day. They helped us make decisions on how to lay everything out, and took a lot of time making sure that everything was done correctly and looks great. We live in a very old house, which always comes with surprises during remodeling. DHR was able to help work around these issues. This is the first work we’ve had done on our home that we are really happy with. We have an old house and will be doing more remodeling in the future. They will definitely be on our list.
Bob Mauch – Centerville
This firm did such a fine job, instead of providing detail on the “usual stuff,” we’ll just say that we agree with all of the positive comments. I was a bit skeptical of DHR using a subcontractor for the cabinet and backsplash installation, but didn’t need to be. Greg and Melanie were absolute consummate, highly skilled/experienced pros. Our work involved the removal of soffits on either side of the kitchen under which the old cabinets hung. When they started tearing into the soffits, it was discovered that there was lumber framing, electrical wiring, and even a plumbing vent stack! There really was no way the estimator would have known all that was up there – he did ask me and I told him I watched the house being built and didn’t remember anything being up in those soffits (oops). Greg removed those soffits with surgical skill with a CHISEL, relocated wiring/rewired everything, and relocated the plumbing stack, all to code requirements. That added two days and $1000 to the original estimate, but I thought that was fair – it was a lot of extra work and quite a mess, what with insulation falling, etc. They installed the cabinets, trim work and tiled backsplash meticulously and skillfully. When they were working, they….well….they WORKED!! They were pleasant, but they weren’t overly familiar or sat around gabbing. They WORKED. And carefully protected the carpets/flooring every day, and cleaned up after themselves every day. They ate lunch in their truck and only took 15 minutes+/-! Melanie was a great sounding board and provided great advice regarding backsplash and countertop colors, and on cabinet handles. Everything looks absolutely gorgeous and we’ve received many compliments. DHR’s payment policy (so much down, certain progress percentages due throughout the project, etc.) was very professional and fair, and they were never overly concerned about us paying before further work was done. Other than for the extra/unforeseen work that needed to be done, DHR stuck to its original estimate. The only thing I kind of (and only “kind of”) regret is that we didn’t take more time considering the quality of the cabinetry provided by DHR, and that was our fault. We were on a strict budget and went for the standard line of cabinetry, Aristokraft I think it was. They look beautiful and are of at least the quality of what we had removed. But upon close examination you can detect where better construction could’ve been used. When the cabinetry was delivered, there were a few doors/drawer-fronts with stain flaws. DHR immediately contacted Aristokraft and had them deliver replacements ASAP, which arrived in a few days and did not delay the job. Again, we generally knew the quality-level we were purchasing, but I kind of wish I would’ve spent a few thousand more dollars for a little better quality. DHR did a great job for us and we will be calling them when it’s time to have the bathrooms overhauled!
David Burris – Spring Valley
Richard took our kids’ dingy, small bathroom and turned it into a fresh, modern space! His attention to detail and creativity/problem solving went above and beyond what we expected. We love our new bathroom!
Pat Couch – Springboro
We worked with Dayton Home Remodeling to remodel 3 bathrooms. I am extremely happy with their work, their price, and their professionalism. The whole team was fantastic from sales to finish. George did beautiful work and was great to work with. He had to overcome a serious leak in one room and result was amazing. You would never know there had ever been a problem. I now have 3 fully functional, beautiful bathrooms. When it is time to remodel our kitchen, they are the only people I will call.
Karl Borneman – Centerville
DHR helped to make our dreams come true on the first floor of our house! We have lived in it for 17 years and it was in dire need to be pulled out of the mish-mash of 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s styling. We hadn’t thought of redoing the kitchen this year until we contacted a hardwood flooring installer who recommended we update the kitchen concurrent with the new floor. Mike came out and spent several hours on two occasions understanding what we were trying to do. He made recommendations for the layout, cabinet styles and associated lighting, appliances, etc. During the project, Brian came out to check progress and give us any updates. Also, DHR did a wonderful job coordinating schedules with the hardwood floor installation. Greg and Melanie did most of the work and were a joy to work with! They did excellent work and were flexible on the details as well as our schedule to bring the work to a successful conclusion. First, the kitchen was taken down to studs, plumbing and electric added on and/or re-routed. New drywall installed and one wall was brought out a few inches to accommodate plumbing and electric that formerly resided in the soffits. Also, they enlarged a pass-through opening between the kitchen and family room. In addition to the ceiling lights, they added can lights and puck lighting under the cabinets. Finally, cabinets and quartz countertop were installed, new range and microwave installed (we bought), old dishwasher installed, etc. to finish the kitchen. Pretty much turn-key except for appliances in the kitchen. Concurrently with the kitchen we updated a large laundry room that had a small toilet area. This room had always bothered us in that we couldn’t figure out if it was a large bathroom with a washer and dryer or a laundry room with a toilet and sink. As it was, it was not a nice room to put foofoo soaps, frilly little towels and other nice-smelling things. DHR installed a wall with door (and casing) dividing the room into a separate powder room and laundry room. The powder room side got hardwood floors and the laundry room has vinyl. Scope of work was not completely turn-key, but involved quite a bit: small toilet area and washer/dryer walls removed and patched over, dividing wall installed, all plumbing and electric added onto for lighting and outlets. We supplied the vinyl flooring, laundry tub, bathroom vanity, and light fixtures which they installed. We finished the project by painting both rooms, molding and towel racks, etc. Finally, our under-powered basement was corrected by the addition of a 20 amp circuit run in the basement for the shop as well as straightening out some of the other outlets and lighting. We are delighted with the results of the remodel which not only increased the value of our house, but also our enjoyment of living in the new environment!
Elaine Phillips – Centerville
Richard did a wonderful job on both bathrooms- looks great -could not have asked for a better job! Tarps were put down daily and everything cleaned up at end of day. Did one bathroom at a time so I was not inconvenienced at all. Great effort given to all areas and good job of explaining what he was doing and why it was done. Brian checked on the job on a routine basis to make sure everything was progressing. Richard spent the time to make sure things were done the right way. Richard takes a great deal of pride in his work and it shows- everything was done with great detail and precision. All ceramic tile, backsplashes, vanities, fixtures etc. look great. Everything looks wonderful – better than I thought it would. I would definitely recommend Dayton Home Remodeling and especially Richard for the effort he put into the project.
Karen Arthur – Centerville
I interviewed 11 contractors for this project and was ready to give up when I came across Dayton Home Remodeling thru Angie’s List. In short, I am very pleased, as is my elderly mother for whom this project was done. Mike managed negotiating the terms of the project and spent considerable time explaining details so that I could understand why one or the other item is better/worse. The price was very good and they did not add costs as the project went along. Brian managed the fieldwork and checked in on a routine basis to make sure the project was progressing as needed. Being an engineer, all parties were very patient with my continual questions. George and David did the entire project themselves with only assistance with drywall finishing, which was a supreme outcome as well. I thought it would take 4-6 weeks given the complexities and they were done in 3. All of my siblings are engineers and were very worried about me being taken advantage of given I am a single parent. Not only was the quality of work very high, but the materials used had the same or more level of integrity than my siblings were saying was required. Making a deck for the stacking washer and dryer was done with 2x10s, not 2x4s or even 2x6s. George was available immediately to respond to questions, texts etc and I know if I have a question 6 months from now he will be happy to respond. I WILL call them again when I can do another project and WILL recommend them to others, as we all know, good help is very hard to find. Way to go George!! Regards, happy homeowner
Katherine Davis – Huber Heights
Pete (the actual contractor) did a great job! I am incredibly please with the outcome. He had to run plumbing and electric into the area and it looks great! My only caution is there were a couple of months between the time we contracted with them and the start of work. I had to call Brian (the scheduler/co-owner) rather than him keeping me abreast of the schedule. I was glad that whenever I called him he did answer his phone or call me back. Overall I would definitely recommend them for bathroom remodels and installations. They really know what they are doing and the outcome is professional.
Valerie Hitte – Franklin
We are so happy with our new bathroom. It’s more beautiful than I even imagined it to be. From sales to installation Mike, Brian & George were very friendly and helpful. We received a detailed quote and estimate on the spot. Mike and Brian came back to do a walk through and let us add a few adjustments. When George and Dave arrived each day they covered the stairs and furniture to keep everything as clean as possible. George spent the time to make sure things were done the right way. He kept us informed daily and answered any questions along the way. They cleaned up and hauled away everything that was torn out each day. We highly recommend their service and we will use them again, when we remodel our kitchen.
Lori Newton-Chiles – Northridge
I am really happy with my bathroom remodel. Richard did a great job on every part of the job and treated my small bathroom like it was really important. He had great ideas and really listened to me about the look I wanted to achieve. He worked long hours and did a beautiful job on my shower tile and floor tile. My 1947 bathroom will look amazing for the next 60 years thanks to Richard. He is truly a craftsman and one of the best experiences I have had on a home project. He does great work! Can’t wait to start my kitchen remodeling project with Dayton Home Remodeling-I will definitely request Richard to do the kitchen.
Dawn Hill – Springboro
Dayton Home Remodeling completed a master bath remodel for us. We were pleased with the entire process and the final result. George did an awesome job! We’ll definitely consider them again on future projects.
Amy Daughters – Centerville
The whole experience was very professional. The initial review and quote was detailed and comprehensive. The estimate provided was spot on and there were no surprises during the work. The team was here every day, on time, and was diligent with their work. They cleaned and took away items torn out as they went. We discussed progress with them each day and they were extremely professional in helping us understand where things sat each day. Issues or items that came up during the process were reviewed and agreed upon throughout. We are already working on plans and quotes for our next project with Dayton Home Remodeling. We would definitely recommend them.
Jennifer Brandt – Kettering
Wonderfully! The process was simple, the least expensive of three quotes we received, professional from the word “go,” clean (they covered the entire space while working and did a thorough cleaning each day), timely, and the finished product is beautiful. We are very happy and would use them again. Shout out to Brian for all of his hard work!
Gary Moorman – Tipp City
Very professional and conscientious answered all my concerns and questions. Mike and Brian were great in pulling everything together to make sure everything was done right and to our expectations. Greg and Melanie were wonderful. They were so conscientious and gave attention to detail to everything. I just can’t say enough good things about Greg and Melanie; they made our kitchen simply beautiful!
Joan Cook – Huber Heights
We had our upstairs bathroom gutted and completely remodeled. Richard was the person doing the work. He was very thorough and paid attention to every detail. It did take a little over 3 weeks but the results were more than worth it! Richard acted as if he was remodeling his own bathroom. He cared and worried about every detail and that it was perfect. I highly recommend Dayton Home Remodeling and am now having them remodel our kitchen.
John Johnson – Kettering
Summary: I am extremely happy with the job that Richard did for me. He worked very hard to do quality work and it shows. I would use DHR again in the future. This is the first time I’ve used Dayton Home Remodeling (DHR). Payment was broken up into three pieces. Deposit at contract signing, % at start of work, remainder % at completion. Before the project began I agreed in the contract that I would remove the old shower, toilet, and provide a 40sq ft vinyl. Richard Payton from DHR was the craftsman that did the site inspection and later the actual work. DHR and I were flexible on my start date due to both our schedules. The space was ready when Richard arrived on the day to start the remodel. New tub and surround arrived as scheduled to the house on the first day. Richard put drop cloths in place from the front door, up the stairs, down the hallway to the bath room. Richard removed the old base boards, vinyl floor, and faucet fixtures. Capped the hot and cold water pipes. Inspected and prepared the floor and tub floor. Inspected wall insulation and added new vapor barrier to outside wall. He cut and laid the vinyl floor then covered it to protect it while working. Richard carefully test fitted the tub in place several times to get the exact drain and vent position located. When satisfied with the tub fit (Richard goes to extremes to get it right) he secured the tub in place. He tested the drain for leaks many times until satisfied before moving on. The faucet fixtures and surround walls went in place next. Then the prep for the drywall, secured it in place, taped joints, mud joints (2 layers +1 skim coat). Caulked all outside edges of tub and surround walls. Installed new wood base boards. Obviously this took Richard several days to complete between steps. He was always on time, prepared and had the right tools for the situation. He was helpful pointing out some things he found and shared his knowledge if I had a question. I was both in the house and a few times out when he was working. I had no issue with him leaving his tools and material at the house. He cleaned up all trash and removed debris each day. Thank you DHR.
Barbara Chrystal – Englewood
The entire project went very smoothly. Mike responded the same day as my inquiry and was very helpful with his suggestions as to what I should update. He did not try to have me do more than necessary. Richard performed all of the work on both bathrooms. I cannot praise Richard enough for the excellent work he did and the great service he provides. He pays attention to all the little details which suited me just fine. He takes pride in his work and gave me lots of little tips that I could use. Very friendly and trustworthy, plus he knows so much about his trade. And best of all, he cleaned up everything when he was done. I wish I had found this company sooner, so much better than other work I had done in the past. I would recommend them and especially ask for Richard.
William Brock – Belmont
I can’t say enough about the DHR team. From the quoting process with Mike, to Brian and his crew, they did a great job. They started on the date that they expected to and finished that promise by ending on schedule, and followed through on exactly what the scope of the job was. Every detail was finished as I expected, and then some. Special honors go to George who personally performed the remodel. Whatever curve (literally) that my house threw at him, he was able to adapt and make it work to achieve the final result. He kept me informed of any minor modifications that became necessary as the work progressed and did a great job of making this as least disruptive to the household as possible. I will not hesitate to call DHR when I take on my next house project. Thanks to George, Brian and Mike!
Sheryl Iddings – West Carrollton/Dayton
We had upstairs bathroom remodeled. Richard did a very nice job…He is very meticulous about his work and takes pride in doing a very good, detailed job. He cares about his work. He had a lot of steps going up and down, which made the job a little more challenging, but he handled it well. When it comes time to remodeling our next bathroom, we will ask for Richard again.
Shannon Lipp – Kettering
Wonderful service! They were very thorough, made suggestions to ensure things looked nice. They cleaned up at the end of every day and stored equipment in a non-intrusive place. I felt very comfortable with them around and they were not bothered by my small children. The work looked great when it was done and was finished early, right before Christmas! Everyone I mentioned this to was shocked. I would recommend them to anyone.
David Wills – Beavercreek
I contacted Dayton Home Remodeling via Angie’s list messenger to inquire about having our bathroom remodeled. Mike responded in less than an hour and we made an appointment for an estimate the following day. Mike was very helpful with the estimate process and explained all the details. He understood we were working on a budget and did everything he could to help us reduce our cost by letting us do our own demo, paint, etc. Initially we were scheduled to start work late January, but Mike was able to adjust the schedule and fit us in sooner. This helped greatly because my wife and I are trying to get as much done before we move in. I was contacted by Brain several days before work started to set an appointment so he could introduce me to Richard who would be doing the work. Brian gave me some good tips for some tricky spots that I came across during the demo process. He also made sure to check on the progress of the work throughout the entire remodel. I am really happy that DHR assigned Richard to remodel the bathroom. He definitely lived up to Dayton Home Remodeling’s core values, he showed up on time, maintained a positive professional attitude, explained everything he was doing, didn’t cut corners and he displayed impeccable attention to detail. During the process of the remodel several unexpected complications arose and Richard was able to problem solve and correct them. The first was a damaged floor joist that was right underneath the drain for the bathtub. Most contractors would put in sister joist or box out the joist. This would have been very expensive and time consuming. But knowing we were on a budget and sticking to DHR principle of affordable and reliable; Richard was able to build onto the wall and move the bathtub out just enough were he could install the drain without causing further damage to the floor joist. He then repaired the damaged floor joist so no issues arise in the future. Another complication arose with the green ground wire for the Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI). The original GFCI was attached to a copper water pipe. Richard pointed out that the National Electrical Code (NEC) just changed in 2014 and discourages using copper pipes as a ground and can be a safety hazard. He made sure to run the ground wire properly and to Code. Richard went above and beyond during the home remodel and I am very happy with his workmanship. My favorite part is the tile in the shower; words can’t even describe how sharp it looks.
Ty Pollak – Beavercreek
I was very pleased with the job which included new vanity, toilet, tub, trim, painting, lighting, fixtures, etc. The house is old and bathroom provided plenty of unforeseen challenges. Richard’s craftsmanship and attention to detail were impeccable. I was thoroughly impressed with the job and value, considering all the odds and ends that popped up. I would definitely recommend and expect to use again.
Grant Donaldson – Centerville
Dayton Home Remodeling priced out a master bathroom remodel that included tiling and extending out a shower with high-end marble tile, tiling the bathroom floor and tiling around an existing tub. They removed old fixtures, removed a vanity and large mirror and tore out carpeting. Work included replacing lighting and a light/fan fixture. We ordered a vanity online and they brought it up to the second floor location and installed it without incident despite its size and weight. We were pleased with the work done. The particular crew that worked on our project was courteous and meticulous. They accommodated our specific requests and consistently asked if we had further questions. They were creative in their approach to solving construction matters as they arose. We would consider them again – and specifically the crew we worked with – for future projects when required.
William White – Springboro
We had another great experience with DHR. George and Paul worked on our Master Bathroom and did an excellent job. My wife and I are extremely happy. George and Paul showed up every day they said they would, and put tarps and plastic down every day to keep our house clean. George is a perfectionist. His work on our tile floor and tile shower was great. We are happy with the way everything turned out. When other subs came to our house to do drywall and install glass doors for shower, George was there making sure they did everything correctly. George found a defect in the shower door trim and he made the contractor replace it. There was also a scratch on one of our cabinets and he had the cabinet manufacture replace it also. All in all, a very good experience with Mike (Sales), Brian (Operations) and George (Installer). We would definitely use them again and would recommend them to our friends.
Elyse Godemann – Kettering/East Oakwood
We are incredibly happy with our experience. You would never know thanks to George’s great work that no wall was straight or plum. Incredibly happy with his work. Would have no hesitation to work with him again.
Tracey Nissen – Centerville
Bryan did an excellent job walking through the job with us. We had never been through the remodeling process before. He shared great insights and ideas. He gave us good, honest feedback about our ideas. He made us feel very comfortable when selecting our styles, etc. George did the labor. He was EXCELLENT. Punctual, well-mannered, good with communication, great workmanship, conscientious, and he cleaned up after himself everyday! He worked hard to get the job done in a timely manner. (Stayed within the estimated time frame.) He didn’t complain when we made a couple of changes. And, he advised us along the way when making decisions about some of the minor details. We plan to have him do our master bathroom within the next year.
Andy Janovsky – East Oakwood
I hired them to remodel my kitchen and bathroom. They did excellent work and I would recommend them to anyone. They are very neat and conscience. They are also very easy to work with and made adjustments as needed.
Jeff Davison – Riverside
Called to get an estimate and they were very adaptable to a tough schedule. After we got the estimate they gave a date to start work a few weeks out. They showed up when promised and started working. They worked on the bathroom for almost 2 weeks as promised, took a little longer but they gave ample notice. The bathroom was only non-functional for only 1 day which is less than I would have expected so it was good from that standpoint. The work looks very nice and professional; they were adaptable after we changed our mind on the faucet we wanted. This was our choice and nothing the company did, we simply didn’t like the one we originally picked out and wanted a different one. I would use them again for other work and would recommend them. They do good work and keep their word on what is going on with the project. Overall a pleasant experience dealing with these guys.
Marie Belpulsi – Springboro
The Dayton Home Remodeling team provided us with a stress-free, master bath transformation!!! Mike provided us with a thorough and fair estimate that was right on target. No surprises!! Brian managed the project in a professional and friendly manner. He consistently checked on the progress of the project and always asked us for input. George and his installation team were most conscientious, respectful, always on time and thoroughly clean-up project area each day. Many kudos go to George who provided the amazing tile work. His attention to detail made our master bath transformation into an incredible new room. The project was finished on time and on budget!!!! The customer service/friendly manner of all Dayton Home Remodeling staff made our investment worthwhile.
James Lewis – Kettering
The bathroom floor and toilet needed repair badly, and Richard removed the tub and toilet. He found mold and cleaned the area thoroughly. He installed the new tub and tub surround. He also removed the sink and vanity. We chose the sink and vanity colors. We also were given the choice of sink, toilet and tub fixtures. Richard installed all new wood and ceramic flooring to our satisfaction also. He had to replace some of the old plumbing. The house is 60 years old! Richard was neat, clean, and friendly. We have shown the new bathroom to some of our friends and have recommended Dayton Home Remodeling to them if they have a need. If we have any further repair needs done in our home, we will call Dayton Home Remodeling!!
Deborah Zurawski – Northridge
This company is one of the finest company’s I/we have dealt with. The remodel went remarkably well from start to finish. We had done quite a bit of research before we asked for a quote and had found it hard to believe that we could not find a negative review. When Mike showed up to look at the bathroom and give us a quote, it was evident he knew his business. He took the time to explain everything on the contract and what the expected timeline would be. He also provided a list of tile and flooring companies that they recommended also. We did use one of the tile companies and they were very familiar with Dayton Home Remodeling and very positive about working with them. A couple of days before the work was to begin, Brian, the other owner, came by to look at the bathroom and also to introduce George who would be the main worker for the remodel. They both wanted to make sure we understood what was to happen when and answer any questions we had. Again very professional. When the work started we were totally impressed with the care George and his helper took in making sure the rest of the house was protected from any construction. Tarps were laid down to protect stairs and plastic sheeting was put over everything in the master bedroom. This was done each and every day. The work itself was a marvel to watch. George is a perfectionist. His care and detail work was fantastic. At the end of each day, he would ask if we had any questions. He helped us with deciding how to put the accent tiles in the shower (beautiful) and also suggested how the flooring should be laid (again beautiful). At the end, the result is wonderful. We have been living with this new bath for 2 months now and we would not change a thing. We have every intention of asking this company back to remodeling our second bathroom in the future. And to Mike, Brian and George… Thank you (especially for the new window).
Jenifer Davis – Kettering
The experience was fantastic. They are such a great company to work with. Anytime that we had questions about anything, they would come over on Saturdays, Sundays, at any time to fix it. Their pricing is fair. They were late a couple of times though because one of their guys got sick.
Robert Hanafin – Beavercreek
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WE’VE USED THE SERVICES OF DAYTON HOME REMODELING, so my wife and I knew what professional and quality services we could expect from Mike Mergler and Brian Harrison. In fact, we contacted Mike during the previous Fall and Winter of 2012 to set up this latest remodel with the understanding that (1) we did not want the work started until spring, and (2) desired that only Brian Harrison be the Team Leader based on our previous recognition and appreciation of Brian’s outstanding work. As far as how the projects went, Mike was very accommodating to our wishes and made a few very good suggestions based on our stated needs. Once the work started, Brian Harrison went far beyond our expectations in getting things done as quickly as possible with no less quality than we expected. We are now running out of things to remodel, and Dayton Home Remodeling has practically remodeled our entire home. There would be no hesitation what so ever in referring them to our friends and neighbors.
Norman Krueckeberg – Centerville
When Mike, a co-owner visited to give us an estimate our comment was that we wanted a nice functional guest bathroom but didn’t need to be the most expensive. He listened, made several suggestions and produced a bathroom that is very nice. They gutted and replaced everything in our guest bathroom except for the tub. They replaced the vanity, vanity top, floor and tub/shower tile, mirror, lights over the vanity and toilet. In addition they installed a new light, soap dish, shelf, towel bar and grab bar in the tub/shower area, the work took 4 to 5 days. Brian, a co-owner did the work. He was very punctual, showed up as scheduled and communicated very well. Work was excellent. When Brian arrived he put down tarps and did his best to keep everything clean. Cleaned up after each day. This company was referred to us by a friend. They will return in October to completely remodel our master bathroom
Robert Haugh – Centerville
They gave an estimate that we feel was reasonable. They started when they said and completed a few days longer, BECAUSE they ran into complications after opening out the walls. However they repaired and rebuilt the supporting structures and did a great job of finishing the bathroom. All within the estimate. Very pleased with the results.
Jennifer Parker – Beavercreek
They did a great job, stayed on schedule, tried to keep the area clean and the noise down. I couldn’t be happier with the whole process.
Robert Hanafin – Beavercreek
Dayton Home Remodeling provided us what Mike promised – an affordable and reliable quality choice. Mike’s honesty as shown by his advice to us on saving money on unnecessary new doors truly shows Dayton Home Remodeling believes in personal integrity. They are accountable, offer great value on a reasonable budget. However, we had our primary home on the market FOR SALE with the intent of using proceeds from the sale to remodel a fixer upper, for it had a desirable location. The Dayton Home Remodeling crew showed up when they said they would. They sincerely listened to our desires and needs. Mike and his crew did their best to ingeniously and reasonably solve our problem. We were not only impressed by the quality design advice Mike gave us, but his bids were not only FREE but itemized so that we knew exactly what was being demolished, repaired, replaced, and remodeled. Yet Mike’s bid had flexibility to make adjustments in the scope of the work to save money without cutting corners on the quality of materials used. Mike never raised agreed to prices and only increased overall price when we asked for something additional to be added to the bid as a CHANGE. Mike took the time to explain to us that Dayton Home Remodeling uses brand-name mid-grade materials for the best combination of quality and price (not cheap builder grade products). Their standard brands used in our remodel included – Kohler, Moen, Aristokraft, Daltile, Broan, Nutone, just to name a few. We knew very little about remodeling with just a basic idea on what we wanted done, but we seriously feel that we got a quality job from Dayton Home Remodeling.
Tim Roesch – Miamisburg
From estimate to completion, work was done on time. House was kept extremely clean during entire project. Brian was terrific, very professional and responsive. No surprise on costs or anything.
Herman White – Dayton
Estimate was provided; workers arrived on time every day. We were kept up to date on progress. Area completely cleaned up at end of each day. All work completed with great results, and completed totally in less time than estimated. “Great Job”
Robert Hanafin – Beavercreek
We were so pleased with the advice, design ideas & quality of bathroom Remodel that we asked for Additional Remodel at a Reasonable prize. The work crew was helpful & open to ideas.
Iris Helis – Englewood
They did top quality work. They keep me informed and do more than I ask for if it is necessary. They are nice and they did it on a timely basis. I would rate them low for my overall experience because the soap dish fell off but it was I who was pushing them to get faster and that was why the soap dish fell off, so I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.
